In this adaptation of Shakespeare’s Henry V, we are set in the present day of 2009, in the wake of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Henry is an adept and media savvy politician, using TV and the internet to shape his public image. The St Crispin’s Day speech is given on live television. The Chorus’s Prologue in Act 4 is a Ken Burns style movie. The French Princess Catherine is on a reality show learning English words.
